I have found a very rare film-clip, showing the final development of the Wombat on FV432.
(too late for us, I think ?) before the weapon became obsolete. - We see a mount like a moving lafayette & the cramped Gun Drills of Nos 1 & 2. - It appears (to an old Wombat gunner, like myself) ,cramped & difficult drills.....and it all appears neither stable nor accurate. - It is no wonder it was disscontinued !
A coincidence also - It is 56A, the first gun of "A" Coy, which was my old callsign !
Now posted on Section 4, "The Roussillon Herald" for your pleasure.
